How can educators use personal storytelling to build empathy in schools? (Pt 2 of 2) LOTS OF SPACE

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Capture the power of storytelling to nurture empathy and curiosity. Join STORY SWAP, an empathy “laboratory” hosted by Aspen Words (a program of the Aspen Institute), and explore writing techniques that maximize a story’s impact and power. Then find a partner, exchange a meaningful or transformative story about an experience as an educator, and write each other’s story as if it were your own using the first-person narrative voice: the very powerful “I.” After sharing the written stories as a group, discuss how these practices can increase empathy in your schools. www.aspenwords.org
